On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day and the sixth edition of “Health and Well-being in Inclusion: Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in Support of People in Difficult in Campania,” the region of Campania hosted a series of initiatives dedicated to inclusion. The event was promoted by a steering committee composed of members of major European associations of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Giada Ying Zhao, General Director of International Conferences, Vice President of the European TCM Forum and Director of the cultural sector for integrated natural and traditional medicine at Erga Edizioni, together with Dr. Filomeno Caruso, President of the ECTMF, and Dr. Guo Chunbiao, President of ANIMTC, coordinated the organization of several events in the province of Avellino to celebrate this important occasion.

The editorial team of Binews in Campania Region gave further highlight to the initiative by organizing an online interview with prominent guests, both from the local area and with international scope. Attending the event were the Honorable Vincenzo Ciampi, member of the Health Commission of the Campania Region; Anna Candelmo, President of the “Lotta per la Vita” Association; and Valentina Musto, President of the “Ascolto Donna” Association. Joining the discussion were also three renowned Chinese TCM experts: Professor Lui Zhen Huan, Dr. Zheng Zhong Yu, and Dr. Gua Yun Mei.

The meeting offered a valuable opportunity for dialogue and listening, and contributed to increased awareness about autism and the importance of inclusion.

It represented an important moment for sharing and conversation, and aimed to promote greater awareness of autism and emphasized the value of inclusion as a fundamental principle for a more just, welcoming, and compassionate society. It was a time to recognize and celebrate the richness of human diversity, broke down prejudice and cultural barriers so that every individual, regardless of their characteristics, could feel fully welcomed, heard, and respected.

Only through empathy, active listening, and collective commitment could we build communities where no one was left behind, and where the dignity of every person stood at the heart of civil coexistence.
